Careers Education and Guidance Programme
The Guidance programme begins formally in Year 11 but in the two years before that one of the emphases in the Tutorial programme is to enhance students self-awareness of their strengths, weaknesses, skills and interests and then to work to eliminate weaknesses and to develop skills which will enhance their personal profile. GCSE subject choices made at this stage will be informed and appropriate and will not ‘close the door’ on key career areas.
