Orchestra

The College Symphony Orchestra is the flagship of the Music Department Activities. Membership of the Orchestra is open to students and staff at the college and students from other schools are most welcome to join us as a form of outreach. Rehearsals are on Monday afternoon (sectionals) and evening (full) and as a rule students should have attained a minimum of grade five on their chosen instrument.

The ensemble is jointly directed by Mr de Cogan and Mr Foster and they are regularly assisted my members of the peripatetic staff. There are two regular concerts a year, the St Cecilia concert happens on or near November 22^nd and the Exhibition concert takes place on the Saturday evening or Exhibition weekend. Entrance to concerts by the orchestra is free of charge.
