Ampleforth News
The Ampleforth News is an erstwhile satirical newsletter written and published by the students for the students. It appears several times a term and attempts to offer a less conventional perspective on school life. Contents vary according to the whims and fancies of the editors but inevitably contain the infamous HMVs attributed to members of staff in less guarded moments and cartoons, articles and sports reports.
ANEM, the more substantial Ampleforth News Exhibition Magazine, is intended to encourage writing from across the school spectrum. In addition, articles are commissioned from high profile figures, usually those having some link with the College. This publication is on sale at Exhibition and reaches a wide readership. The production is self-funding but relies on local and national advertisers to help subsidise costs.
