Yoga

YogaYoga is a games option that is open to Sixth Form girls and boys, although students from the Remove may be considered. It is taught in the Autumn and Summer terms by Dr Jane Weston who has over twenty years' experience of the discipline, and it is suitable for all abilities, including absolute beginners, as the poses are graded thus enabling each student to select the level to which they are suited. It is taught indoors, although in warm weather it is practised outdoors in a sheltered and secluded area.

Mrs Josie Campbell offers yoga classes in the Lent term and is continuing to do so in the Summer Term.  Mrs Campbell has nearly a decade of yoga experience, most recently in Dubai, where she had the privilege of practising with some excellent yogis from India. Her style is very much focused on the breath and is both relaxing and restorative.

Yoga is an excellent form of exercise as it increases flexibility and strength and also helps to foster a calm and relaxed state of mind.
