Opportunities for Ensemble Playing

flute_group2.jpgPupils who learn a musical instrument or take singing lessons and who attain an appropriate standard will usually be expected to participate in at least one musical ensemble, in much the same way that a pupil who shows particular sporting talent may be picked for a school team. Playing or singing in an ensemble can greatly improve sight-reading skills, rhythm, and independent playing without the reliance on demonstration from a teacher. The various ensembles play at events throughout the year. Please visit the Choirs and Ensembles page for more details.
