Ampleforth College

The school is proud of its long and successful tradition in cricket.  The game is played by many of the students and the 1^st XI Pavilion, newly refurbished with all the 1^st XI team photograph’s dating from 1922 to the present day, forms the heart of the summer games at the school.

The school runs 4 regular senior teams as well as A, B and C teams at U15 and U14 ages.  The girls too are becoming involved in the game.

The school has 4 squares and 8 lane all weather net facilities, as well as grass nets.  There are plans to build further squares and build upon our already very good facilities.

There is a senior and a junior house competition that runs throughout the summer term.
